Salud, Kids!
Sincerely, I hope that the mystic-ruler of all things Queens, past and present, can take a joke. You know, the one in the headline up there? Dare I refer to Queen Victoria as Tori? Works for that Spelling chick, besides I've always assumed old Queen V was cool for her time, so why not?
Besides, what's done is done and I'm sticking and throwing caution to the sail and bombarding your semi-royal asses with a flood of snaps from the exotic isle that is St. Maarten. It was gorgeous.
While on that lovely patch of sand we did the usual island things while thinking about smoking a fine Cuban. Cigar.
Of course, that particular activity posed a bit problematic as I loathe smoking of any kind. But there is just something so darned enticing about a sign that says...Cuban Cigars. Probably because they are ultra-forbidden on U.S. soil. Forbidden stuff...ah!
All this exquisite beauty and forbidden tobacco aside, I'm STILL trying to bring some sort of order to things around here after this silly trip. But, for the love of queens and smokes, it's just way more fun to focus on other things like this blog and my zippy Facebook waste-of-time!
Plus, I heard from our new best friends (I can call them that if I want, they're across the pond and have no way to deny it or throw a scone at me!!) from the United Kingdom (learned from them that I should call England, Britain, Wales and, um, the other land masses near them-the UK) that they also have a ton of things to do as well. So, there you go, I am completely justified to be a total slacker.
This blog takes me back to St. Maarten as it was a blast. Not to mention I bought the best jewelry from a gorgeous French woman in her even more gorgeous shop. We spoke French together as she snapped the necklaces on me. Don't be throwing this blog the squint-eye at that. If I say we spoke French together, we did. Like my British mates, she's not here to deny it or throw a croissant at me!
Kids, I think I will close this and send a quick message to Brian and Mo over there in the land of Prince William and Prince Harry Potter...just to make sure they're not getting ahead of me with their post-trip laundry, cleaning, dancing and singing. Okay, only they do the last one!!
